  • Where can I get a gift card from?

    You can pick up an Asda gift card or Christmas Savings Card from any of our stores. The good news is, we have lots of different designs to choose from, so whether the card is for you or for someone else, there is something for everyone!

  • Should I register my gift card?

    Yes! It’s very important you register your card on our website! If your card is lost or stolen and your card is not registered, we will be unable to replace your card and the funds will have been lost. If your card is registered, you have the option to report your card as lost, check your balance and look at your transaction history.

  • Can I top up my gift card online?

    We’re sorry, you’re unable to top up a gift card online at the moment. However, you can top up any gift card or Christmas Savings Card at the checkout or the Customer Service Desk in your local store.

    Please make sure you register your gift card on our website to protect your funds. Once your card is registered you will also be able to view your transactions and balance online.

  • What’s the difference between an Asda Gift Card, a Pocket Money Card, a Student Shopper Card and a Christmas Savings Card?

    Asda Gift Cards can be bought as a present for someone or used as a shopping card by you. You can load up to £500 onto a Gift Card and it can be bought at any time at any Asda store. You can reload money on to your Gift Card at the checkout or Customer Service Desk. If you’re buying a Gift Card as a present, we have lots of different designs you can choose from.

    A Christmas Savings Card is a really good way of saving and spreading the cost of Christmas throughout the year. You can save up to £144 on the card, and as a thank you we’ll give you a bonus in November. The bonus ranges from £1 to £6 depending on how much is on the card on bonus day. This will automatically be added to the card.

    A Pocket Money Card is a great way for your child to save their pocket money. You can load as much money onto the card as often as you like, just like a normal Asda Gift Card. Once their card is registered they will then have the chance to log in and check their balance and transactions.

    The Student Shopper Card is really two cards: one for the parents and one for student. Both cards are linked together, so parents can add money to the card and automatically top up their son or daughters’ card. Students can then spend the credit on their card on anything they need in Asda.

    Please make sure you register your gift card on our website to protect your funds. Once your card is registered you will also be able to view your transactions and balance online.

  • What happens if I have lost my card or it has been stolen?

    Don’t worry, as long as you’ve registered your card on our website, you’re covered!

    Please log into your account and click on the ‘cancel card’ link at the side of the card you wish to report as lost or stolen.

    Once you’ve done this, the funds on the card will be void and unusable. We will send out a new card to you for the balance you had left of the card when you reported it to us. This will take 7-10 working days to arrive with you.

    Please make sure when you received your new card, you log back into your account and register your new card.

    We’re sorry to say, if you have not registered your card with us, we cannot replace your card.

  • Can I check my transactions for my gift card?

    Yes, if you have already registered, you will be able to see the transaction history for your card in your account.

    If you haven’t registered your card on our website, you can register from the home page. Once registered, you will be able to see the transactions on your account.

  • I’ve forgotten my password?

    Please follow the below instructions to reset your password:

    1. Click on the ‘forgotten password?’ link in the login box.
    2. We will send you a link to reset your password.
    3. Follow the link and change your password to something more memorable.
  • How do I qualify for a bonus on the Christmas Savings Card?

    To receive a bonus in November, you must have saved on your card from the 1st of January.

  • What is the bonus date for the Christmas Savings Card?

    The bonus date will be one Sunday in November, the final date is yet to be announced.

  • What is the bonus amount on a Christmas Savings Card?

    It depends on how much is saved on your card. If you have the full amount of £144 then you'll get a £6 bonus. For a balance of £49 to £96 you’ll get a £1 bonus, and for a balance of £97 to £143 it’s £3.

  • How much can I save onto a Christmas Savings Card?

    The maximum you can save on a Christmas Savings Card is £144 but the great news is, you can have more than one card. Please make sure you register your cards on our website. To do this, click ‘register’ from the home page and add your cards into your account.

  • How much money can I load onto a Gift Card, Pocket Money and Student Shopper Card?

    You can load as much or as little as you'd like up to £500 onto our cards. Please make sure you register your gift card on our website to protect your funds. Once your card is registered you will also be able to view your transactions and balance online.

  • Can Gifts Cards, Pocket Money Cards, Student Shopper Cards, Christmas Savings Cards be used on anything in store?

    The balance on these cards can be used in store either in full or as part-payment. Gift cards cannot be used in petrol stations, in concessions in store or at the kiosk for lottery and scratch cards.

  • Can Gift Cards, Pocket Money Cards, Student Shopper Cards and Christmas Savings Cards be used online?

    At this time, our cards can only be used in stores.

  • How can I check my balance on my card?

    You can check your balance with our balance checker, or at the Customer Service Desk in your local store.

  • Where can I load money onto my card?

    Monies can be loaded onto your card at any checkout or Customer Service desk in any of our stores.

  • Why does my gift card have a different picture on it?

    We want our gift cards to be relevant to the people who receive them, so we have lots of different themes and designs for you choose from so you can find the perfect one for you or your friends. The actual card and what it does never changes! The only exception is out Christmas Savings Card, with this card you can save throughout the year to earn a bonus.

  • My Card is 'locked' and I can't use it. Why?

    We work hard to stop fraud so all our cards are monitored for unusual activity. Your card will have been locked either because it displayed erratic spending behaviour that was out of the ordinary, or because it has been used before any money has been loaded onto it.

    If your card has been locked, please call our friendly colleagues on +44 (0) 1709 919 714 and they will be happy to help.

  • My card is faulty, what do I do?

    If you have registered your gift card online already, please log into your account and report your card as faulty in the ‘your cards’ section. We will then post out a replacement to you within 7-10 working days.

    If you haven’t registered with us yet, please register your card by clicking here. Once you have registered, you will be able to follow the steps above and report your card as faulty.

  • Is there an expiry date on my gift card?

    The card is valid for a period of two years from your last transaction. Therefore, we recommend you use your card every 6 months to keep the card active, even if you just check your balance.

  • Can I swap my gift card for cash?

    The balance on your card cannot be exchanged for cash. The card would need to be spent in one of our stores.

  • Do I have to spend the whole amount on my card in one transaction?

    No. Any unused balance remains on the card until you spend it. You can spend the funds on the card in as many transactions as you like.

  • Can I buy Asda gift cards from you in bulk?

    At the moment, we don’t offer a service of bulk buying. However, our stores can provide up to £1,500 or 10 gift cards to you, whichever is higher.
